About the role

Smart Meter Engineer role in Darlington, focused on installing smart meters, demonstrating meter and in-home display usage, and delivering customer-focused service as part of Octopus Energy Services.

Responsibilities

  • Fitting meters; showing customers how their meter and in-home display work; how it can help them save energy and answering questions about the green energy revolution
  • Representing Octopus Energy brands in customers’ homes and delivering top-class service
  • Work as part of Octopus Energy Services with office and field support to minimize admin and maximize service delivery

Qualifications

  • Previous experience installing smart meters
  • A customer first mindset and a can-do attitude
  • Valid MOCoPA certification held within the last 2 years (evidence required)
  • Gas Safe – CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
