About the role

Field-based venue sales role focused on promoting Octopus Energy tariffs and low-carbon technologies to customers at various venues in Edinburgh, with a strong emphasis on customer service and relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Directly engage with customers on a face-to-face basis to promote energy tariffs and low carbon technologies (solar panels, heat pumps, electric vehicles).
  • Introduce Octopus Energy as a preferred supplier by comparing services with other energy companies to help potential customers decide on switching.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming, positive experience for every new customer brought on board.

Qualifications

  • Sales experience is preferred but not required; training and support will be provided.
  • Excellent communication, listening and relationship-building skills.
  • Positive, approachable and confident communication style.
  • Experience in a customer-centric setting with quick and effective customer solutions.
  • Willingness to approach customers and maximise every interaction.
  • Customer-focused, detail-oriented, honest and committed to representing the brand.
