About the role
Experienced PMHNP sought to provide medication management and psychotherapy for women’s mental health, across reproductive and postpartum stages, with remote delivery and flexible hours.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for women across various life stages.
- Provide ongoing medication management, including initiation, monitoring, and adjusting psychotropic medications.
- Offer psychotherapy and counseling utilizing evidence-based modalities.
- Collaborate with therapists and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Facilitate referrals to other mental health services and resources as necessary.
- Participate in regular case consultations and supervision meetings.
Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner license with a specialty in Psychiatry (PMHNP-BC), in good standing.
- Licensed to practice in FL, TX, NC, GA, NJ, PA, IL, VA, DC, or MD.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing psychiatric care and therapy, with a focus on women’s mental health.
- Proficiency in medication management, with emphasis on psychopharmacology for women.
- Experience providing psychotherapy (CBT, DBT, IPT, or other evidence-based modalities).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote care team.
- Commitment to cultural competence and sensitivity in caring for a diverse patient population.
