About the role
MD/DO physician role focused on direct patient care, clinical leadership, and mentoring within LunaJoy Health’s remote-first mental health platform specializing in women’s mental wellness.
Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Maintain an active caseload, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment for women, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management with a focus on personalized, evidence-based care.
- Clinical Leadership: Oversee the clinical team, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of care and ethical practice.
- Program Development: Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement innovative mental health programs and services for women.
- Training and Supervision: Mentor and supervise psychiatric nurse practitioners and other mental health professionals; facilitate ongoing training.
- Collaboration: Work with therapists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals; participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board-certified in Psychiatry, with additional certification or significant experience in women's mental health preferred
- Valid state medical license
- 5+ years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Genuine interest in continuing to see patients directly, in addition to supervisory responsibilities
- Demonstrated commitment to women's mental health and patient-centered care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
