About the role

Senior CAD Engineer specializing in Synthesis within NVIDIA's Networking Silicon engineering team. Focus on developing advanced RTL to PNR flows and methodologies for high-speed communication devices, with emphasis on Power, Performance, and Area optimization, AI/ML automation, and tool flow improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Design and refine sophisticated Synthesis flows to meet Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) objectives.
  • Partner with upstream Front-End Design and downstream Place & Route (P&R) flows development teams to define boundaries and resolve design constraints.
  • Develop robust and scalable Tcl/Python scripts to improve Flow Turnaround Time (TAT) and integrate AI/ML automation into production runs.
  • Serve as SME and trusted representative for adjacent project teams; provide proactive support, deep-dive debugging of complex tool failures, and formal synthesis training to build teams.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in VLSI synthesis flows with deep expertise in Synopsys Fusion Compiler or Design Compiler (DC-Top/DC-Ultra).
  • Strong proficiency in Tcl or Python scripting within a production-level CAD/EDA environment.
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset and ability to proactively drive complex tasks to completion.
