About the role

Senior Software Engineer role at MinIO, focused on end-to-end ownership of complex systems in OS, networking, and distributed storage for AI data stack. Hybrid work in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

  • Own problems end-to-end with full ownership from day one (no ticket queues, standups, or permission)
  • Work across OS internals, networking from socket layer up, memory, concurrency, correctness
  • Contribute to storage engines, distributed systems, and protocol design as part of a team of ICs/leads/architects
  • Write code that earns respect from future engineers
  • Collaborate within a culture of no managers, with all engineers taking leads/architect roles

Qualifications

  • Fluent in ≥2 programming languages with clear tradeoffs
  • Ability to debug by understanding rather than guessing
  • Grit to start hard things and finish them
  • Curiosity and genuine engagement with work
  • Low ego and high standards
  • Experience with Operating Systems, Networking, Systems Programming, Distributed Systems, Storage Engines, Vector/Graph Retrieval, Low-Latency I/O, and Protocol Design
