About the role

Senior backend-focused role building and maintaining the platform behind an AI-powered accounting agent. Emphasis on reliable infrastructure, scalability, and integration with customers’ accounting tools. Part of a small, high-ownership team collaborating closely with product.

Responsibilities

  • Backend services and APIs that power the product.
  • Reliability and operations — helping systems stay healthy and fast as we scale.
  • Cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Integrations with accounting platforms, where correctness matters.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Built and run backend services in production and value reliability.
  • Strong backend TypeScript/Node experience.
  • Experience with asynchronous, data-intensive, or distributed systems.
  • Comfort with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
  • Clear communication and preference for simple, focused solutions.
