About the role

US Public Sector Defense Agencies Account Executive to expand Elastic’s footprint within Defense Agencies, driving adoption of Elastic’s search, observability, and security solutions for mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Elastic's sales strategy for Defense Agencies, delivering tailored solutions for operational and cybersecurity needs.
  • Cultivate relationships with military and defense agency leadership, identifying opportunities to support mission success with Elastic’s products.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders and system integrators to design and implement Elastic solutions for joint and multi-domain operations.
  • Partner with internal teams to craft compelling proposals and ensure alignment with federal acquisition requirements.
  • Stay abreast of evolving mission priorities, defense funding trends, and technological advancements.
  • Represent Elastic at defense industry events, briefings, and conferences to showcase capabilities and build partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of Defense Agency missions, DISA/4th Estate structures, and operational requirements.
  • Proven success in defense sales, business development, or program management within the public sector.
  • Familiarity with Security Operations Centers (SOCs), AI/ML, data analytics, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions into mission value.
  • Experience navigating federal procurement processes and contracting vehicles.
  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is strongly preferred.
