About the role

AWS EC2 leadership role focusing on driving a team to deliver best-in-class CPU and memory performance for novel hardware designs, from inception through manufacturing and maturation, in a fast-paced cloud hardware environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of hardware and system development engineers to collaborate with silicon suppliers, ODMs, and internal customers to maintain a high-performing system component roadmap.
  • Define implementation strategy and report status frequently to senior leadership.
  • Drive delivery of performance across the fleet of EC2 servers and ensure core components (CPU and memory) meet or exceed performance targets.
  • Partner with product or program management teams and manage multiple concurrent programs in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • 5+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 8+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering cloud hardware experience with primary focus on CPU and memory
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
