About the role

Delivery Area Manager leading a team of shift managers and associates in daily management of a delivery station within Amazon Logistics, focusing on the delivery of orders to customers. Fully onsite with rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnight work as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of the delivery station, overseeing operations focused on delivering Amazon orders to customers.
  • Leading a team of Process Assistants and Delivery-Service Providers in daily management, including meetings, training, assigning duties, and communicating with DSPs and drivers.
  • Ensuring a safe workplace, properly trained people, and addressing their needs to enable performance.
  • Route shipments within the Amazon Logistics coverage area.
  • Support and assign duties to process assistants.
  • Adapt to sudden changes and growth according to operational needs.
  • Track and monitor sorting operations and driver dispatch.
  • Review operational forecast and determine productivity requirements for sort operations; manage a team to meet building goals.
  • Support safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for associates and delivery service providers.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading)
