About the role

Account Executive role focused on driving revenue and cloud adoption for AWS in state government, including the State of Illinois and University of Illinois, within AWS Public Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and cloud adoption in a defined account base.
  • Help advance our market and technical strategy.
  • Develop, articulate and implement account plans aligned to AWS's strategic direction.
  • Identify specific prospects/partners/channels to collaborate with to serve customers.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure understanding of cloud use cases, successful usage of AWS services, and governance models for operating in the cloud.
  • Maintain an accurate and robust pipeline and forecast of business opportunities by engaging with prospects, partners, and key customers.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management regarding quarterly and yearly strategies that align with revenue growth expectations.
  • Accelerate cloud adoption and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with, presenting to, and negotiating with C-level executives, IT, lines of business, procurement, finance, legal and internal stakeholders for sizeable commercial/enterprise deals
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable track record of cultivating a sales territory and continually meeting and exceeding annual quota
