About the role
Program Manager responsible for long-term FC network design and capacity expansion planning within Amazon Japan's Supply Chain Management (SCM) Capacity Planning team. Drives FC topology decisions, capacity investments, and initiatives to balance faster配送 with cost optimization across the fulfillment network, collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop FC Network Strategy to optimize delivery speed and cost using financial metrics and data-driven analysis.
- Plan mid-to-long term FC Capacity, including forecasting demand, assessing uncertainty, and developing expansion and investment plans.
- Lead projects to implement new network initiatives (e.g., consolidations, re-positioning, new warehouse functionality) and secure appropriate leadership approvals.
- Report to Topology Manager and coordinate with Demand Management, FC Engineering, FC Management, SCM teams, Transportation, Real Estate, Finance, and Category/Marketing stakeholders.
- Update FC Capacity Plan at least four times per year and align investment timing with Prime Day/Black Friday peaks, securing Global Leadership approvals as needed.
- Continuously reflect new network concepts and cost improvement opportunities through ongoing Initiatives and Leadership Alignment.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of cross-functional work with tech and non-tech teams
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvements using data and metrics
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and SQL knowledge
- Experience defining program requirements and using data to determine improvements
