About the role

Frontend engineer role focused on stability, reliability, and performance of Scribe's core frontend platform, collaborating with engineers, designers, and user advocates to build fast, reliable, and polished UI.

Responsibilities

  • Own the stability, reliability, and performance of Scribe's user-facing platform functionality
  • Build and ship features in our Next.js / React frontend, from concept through to production
  • Translate designs and product requirements into responsive, accessible, high-quality UI
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and user advocates to improve the overall platform experience
  • Write automated tests and advocate for frontend testing practices across the team
  • Care about frontend craft — performance, load times, rendering, bundle size, and Core Web Vitals

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of frontend engineering experience
  • Proficiency with React (Next.js / TypeScript)
  • Strong command of modern HTML and CSS, and of responsive, accessible design
  • Strong advocate for automated testing
  • Experience implementing frontend engineering best practices
