About the role

Expert in process automation & market processes in the energy industry responsible for optimizing Bilanzkreismanagement, market communication, data quality, and automation initiatives to improve operational stability and forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Operative responsibility: support the operational steering of our Bilanzkreismanagement for electricity and gas, coordinate communication with market partners, service providers and internal teams; monitor forecasting quality and balance circle deviations; assist in creating analyses and KPIs to support daily decisions.
  • Data quality & clearing: monitor and coordinate clearing processes with network operators; help identify, fix data deviations, and reduce balancing risks.
  • Processes & automation: identify improvement potentials in existing processes; collaborate with Data, Tech and Operations teams to develop scalable solutions; advance Bilanzkreismanagement processes automation to reduce manual effort and increase operational stability; work closely with system and service partners (e.g., Kraken) and translate operational requirements into system development.
  • Projects & further development: contribute to energy industry projects around balancing, market communication and forecasting; help create transparency on balancing risks, forecast quality and data quality; support the development of KPIs, monitoring dashboards and reports.

Qualifications

  • Completed degree or comparable Ausbildung with focus on energy economics, economics, or analytics.
  • Initial experience in the energy industry is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of market communication (e.g., GPKE, GeLiGas or MaBiS) is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Structured, autonomous, and solution-oriented work style.
  • Interest in understanding and evolving complex energy market processes.
  • High affinity for data, processes and operational workflows.
  • Fluent in German and English; enjoys collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
