Product Designer at AIOS Medical — Remote, $100-200k/yr inc equity
About the role
Senior, high-ownership Product Designer for AIOS, designing clinical software and a customer-facing mobile app. Own projects end-to-end in a fast-growing, founder-led startup with interplay between user needs, business goals, and regulatory constraints. Remote role with overlap across European and US time zones.
Responsibilities
- Design ownership: You take ownership of design work across products and run projects independently, from problem definition to shipped solution.
- Customer apps: You design and improve customer-facing web and mobile app experiences. Mobile app work is a major focus area.
- Internal tools & workflows: You work on internal products used by clinical, ops, enrolment, and CX teams, focusing on workflow, usability, and efficiency.
- Complex problem solving: You work on products with real commercial and regulatory constraints. You understand that not everything can be changed freely.
- Business & user understanding: You start from the business problem and the user need. You can clearly explain what problem you were solving and why.
- End-to-end project ownership: You lead projects independently, including discovery, talking to users or internal teams, defining the solution, and shipping it.
- Clear communication: You can articulate your thinking, defend decisions, and hold your ground in discussions with strong opinions.
- Hands-on leadership: You’re comfortable being senior, helping shape how design works, and supporting other designers as the team grows, without stepping away from hands-on work.
Qualifications
- 3+ years designing digital products across web or mobile, including customer-facing mobile apps or internal tooling.
- Robust portfolio showing real product work with problem, rules, impact, and polished screens.
- Ownership: ability to take loosely defined problems and run with them, engaging with stakeholders and delivering shipped solutions.
- Craft: focus on clarity and usability within fixed requirements, technical limitations, and existing systems.
- Clear thinking & communication: ability to explain decisions, tradeoffs, and problem-solving approaches.
