Recruiter role at January, a NYC-based fintech company, responsible for full-cycle recruitment across engineering, product, operations, and business, with a focus on fast, high-quality hires and pipeline management in a startup/tech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver hires at velocity. Own 4-6 concurrent searches from first outreach to offer close.
  • Find talent. Source from the highest-bar organizations and engage passive candidates; assess quality from limited signals.
  • Contribute to recruiting operations. Keep ATS data clean; follow playbooks; surface pipeline health insights to the team.
  • Partner with hiring managers. Run structured kickoffs; set expectations on process and timeline; coach toward better evaluation.
  • Hold the bar under pressure. Reject weak candidates with evidence; defend the no with specific gaps.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of full-cycle recruiting in a startup, tech company, or staffing/agency environment
  • Technical recruiting exposure is a plus, not a requirement
  • Comfort in ambiguity; ability to manage multiple searches concurrently
  • Strong sourcing, screening, and stakeholder management skills
  • Curiosity and ability to read what a candidate actually wants and sell to that.
