About the role

Senior Product Design Engineer leading the design of health trackers and smart home consumer products, contributing to mechanical design, analysis, and prototyping within a fast-paced, manufacturing-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Apply design, engineering, and technical expertise to influence cross-functionally and deliver reliable mass production components, and solve problems.
  • Anticipate and address product design issues or risks, analyze data, and validate product design to suggest or implement design improvements.
  • Manage the product design, provide guidance to team members, and communicate progress, and request feedback to prevent/remove roadblocks.
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturing to ensure quality of the products and be responsible for understanding and resolving all reliability concerns for designs.
  • Travel as needed for program development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes.
  • 5 years of experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.
