About the role

Tech Lead Manager to build and lead Abnormal's Identity Security product area, starting hands-on with a small team and guiding the product toward market fit.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 6-8 engineers, writing and reviewing code daily alongside them
  • Collaborate closely on technical direction while building the foundations for a scalable product
  • Partner directly with internal and external customers to gather feedback and iterate quickly
  • Grow the team and product as we find traction and expand scope
  • Set engineering standards and practices that will scale as the team grows

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with 1+ year in a tech lead or engineering management role
  • Track record of shipping products in fast-moving environments
  • Ability to read, write, and review code at a high level (Python/Go preferred)
  • Experience hiring and developing engineers
  • Bay Area location required—we operate with 25% in-office presence
