About the role

Cloud Deployment Software Engineer role focused on automating customer setup and deployment across complex cloud environments, building deployment workflows and infrastructure-as-code templates, and improving AWS/GCP deployment tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Build and improve systems that automate customer setup and deployment across cloud environments.
  • Develop deployment workflows and infrastructure as code templates that mirror customer environments and reduce manual setup work.
  • Improve support for complex deployment scenarios including BYO-VPC, customer-managed keys, airgapped environments, and custom-region deployments.
  • Work on cloud account and project bootstrapping, authentication wiring, proxy and private networking, and deployment orchestration.
  • Partner closely with Platform, Security, Product, and customer-facing teams to make deployments faster, safer, and easier to operate.
  • Raise the quality, reliability, and coverage of our AWS and GCP deployment tooling over time.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in platform, infrastructure, or cloud-focused roles.
  • solid backend engineering fundamentals and the ability to work across infrastructure-heavy systems.
  • hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure in AWS, GCP.
  • experience with Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools.
  • strong networking fundamentals, including VPCs, subnets, routing, proxies, and private connectivity.
  • built or improved deployment automation, onboarding workflows, internal cloud platforms, or customer-environment setup systems.
  • ability to balance engineering rigor with pragmatism and turn complex setup problems into repeatable productized systems.
  • clear communication, collaboration across functions, and ownership in an evolving environment
