About the role

Deployment Engineering leader for regional deployments of the PhysicsX platform, owning relationships with CIOs/CTOs and end-to-end deployment success in customer environments. Hybrid role combining executive engagement with hands-on technical leadership and team building.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical conversations with customer CIOs and CTOs to scope deployments and resolve escalations
  • Own the deployment programme across accounts and ensure progress and blockers are managed
  • Align cross-functionally with delivery leads to synchronize commercial commitments and deployment realities
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop regional deployment engineers; define standards and scalable processes
  • Direct involvement in complex deployments requiring senior technical judgment; not a pure management role

Qualifications

  • Track record of leading technical teams delivering complex infrastructure or platform deployments into enterprise environments
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, RHOS)
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tooling (Crossplane, Terraform, Helm) and the OCI ecosystem
  • Experience navigating enterprise IT organisations: security reviews, procurement processes, and stakeholder management
  • Proven ability to build relationships with senior technical executives (CTO, CIO, VP Engineering) at large organisations
  • Experience hiring and growing technical teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites within the region and occasionally internationally (~3–4 weeks per quarter)
  • Experience in regulated or high-security environments
  • Experience with on-prem / HPC type 'scientific' environments is a nice to have
