About the role

Legalist is a tech-enabled asset manager seeking an entrepreneurial, motivated sales professional to grow the personal injury plaintiff market. Early sales hire to identify and close new business opportunities, working directly with leadership to build the strategy from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with prospective law firm partners
  • Facilitate introductory calls, manage the diligence processes, and guide opportunities through the decision-making process
  • Maintain and nurture a pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Negotiate commercial terms and drive transactions to close
  • Partner directly with leadership to help refine strategy, tailor messaging, and target profiles
  • Help build our foundational sales processes and best practices as the strategy scales

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in full cycle sales, business development, investment sourcing, or other relevant relationship-driven roles
  • Proven track record of independently sourcing and closing opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as the ability to adjust tone and approach based on audience
  • Strong negotiation, and relationship-building skills to build trust with senior professionals who are not easy to reach and are skeptical of traditional sales outreach
  • Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder decision-making processes
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy, including building your own target lists, crafting your own outreach, and developing your sales strategy without a rigid playbook
  • You’re excited about the opportunity to build a new strategy
