About the role

ML Researcher role in London at Augur, bridging cutting-edge research and production deployment in real-time spatial intelligence. Lead end-to-end research directions, develop novel algorithms across CV, DL, metric learning, 3D geometry, and vision-language modeling; from prototype to production-grade systems powering real-time spatial insights.

Responsibilities

  • Own research directions end-to-end, developing novel algorithms at the intersection of computer vision, deep learning, metric learning, 3D geometry, and vision-language modelling.
  • Formulate problems, design experiments, and drive work from prototype through production-grade systems.
  • Publish at top venues and deploy at scale.
  • Shape Augur's research roadmap and mentor junior researchers and interns.
  • Work on-site at least two days weekly, specifically one day being a Thursday.

Qualifications

  • PhD (or Master's with equivalent research experience) in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or a related discipline
  • Academic track record with published work at leading journals or conferences (strong plus)
  • Deep expertise in metric learning, multi-view geometry, depth estimation, 3D scene understanding, rendering techniques, feature-based tracking, self-supervised learning, or learning-based mapping and localisation
