About the role

Senior Field Solutions Engineer responsible for on-site commissioning, project management, customer-facing solution development, and hands-on testing in automated industrial robotics. Role involves traveling in Germany, collaboration with Sales, Supply Chain, and R&D, and contributing to robotics innovation in Munich.

Responsibilities

  • On-Site Commissioning: install and commission automation solutions at customer locations across Germany
  • Project Management: plan technical work packages, document progress, escalate risks, interface with Technical Program Managers
  • Customer Orientation: translate customer requirements into robust automation solutions with Solution Development engineers
  • Customer Support: setup, training, acceptance, commissioning and troubleshooting on-site
  • Documentation: create system documentation, operating manuals, and test protocols
  • Design Understanding: interpret detailed 3D designs and realize them in automation solutions
  • Technological Innovation: provide feedback to hardware and software teams to improve robotics technology
  • Development and Testing: conduct tests and prototype new solutions in Munich robotics lab and advance technologies

Qualifications

  • Technical education/degree related to automation technology (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics) or equivalent
  • Willingness to travel regularly for commissioning and customer support
  • Experience in commissioning automation solutions or similarly complex products
  • Customer-focused mentality and motivation to help customers succeed
  • Pragmatic problem-solver with ability to adhere to or create standards
  • Ability to collaborate with sales and supply chain
  • Structured work style with clear documentation of knowledge
  • Receptive to feedback and able to implement improvements
  • Good German and English language skills
