About the role

Technical Recruiter role focused on full-cycle recruiting for Software Engineering, AI/ML, Infrastructure, and Engineering Leadership at Rillet, with a hybrid work arrangement in NYC or SF.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across Engineering, AI/ML, Infrastructure, and Engineering Leadership.
  • Partner with engineering leaders to define what exceptional looks like for each search.
  • Hunt: map talent markets, identify unusually strong people, and create interest with candidates who aren’t looking.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Rillet’s product, customers, and technical challenges.
  • Evaluate candidates with context—not just credentials—and help teams make better hiring decisions.
  • Build conviction with exceptional candidates and close them in competitive situations.
  • Diagnose searches that aren’t working and change the strategy quickly.
  • Protect and continuously raise Rillet’s talent bar.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional taste in talent. You know what great technical talent looks like and can articulate why someone is meaningfully better than the alternatives.
  • You know how to hunt. You’re resourceful, creative, and persistent in finding people other recruiters miss.
  • Intellectual curiosity. You want to understand the technology, product, customer, and business behind the roles you recruit for.
  • Self-drive. You take a search from problem to outcome without waiting to be told what to do next.
  • Business judgment. You optimize for what Rillet needs, even when that means pushing back, changing direction, or keeping a role open longer to get the right person.
  • You know how to engage and close highly sought-after technical candidates.
  • You can earn credibility with engineers and executives through strong judgment and direct communication.
