About the role

Expert in process automation and market processes in the energy industry to optimize operational workflows in balancing group management, market communications, forecasting and KPI reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Operative responsibility: support the operational control of our Bilanzkreismanagement for electricity and gas; coordinate communication with market partners, service providers and internal teams; monitor clearing and market communication processes; support monitoring of forecast quality and balancing group deviations; assist in creating analyses and KPIs for daily decision making.
  • Data quality & Clearing: monitor and coordinate clearing processes with network operators; help identify and remediate data deviations to reduce balancing risks.
  • Processes & Automation: identify improvement potentials in existing processes; collaborate with Data, Tech and Operations teams on scalable solutions; advance automation of Bilanzkreismanagement processes to reduce manual effort and increase stability; work closely with system and service partners (e.g., Kraken) and translate operational requirements into system development.
  • Projects & Further Development: participate in energy market projects around balancing, market communication and forecasting; help create transparency on balancing risks, forecast quality and data quality; support the development of KPIs, monitoring dashboards and reports.

Qualifications

  • Completed studies or a comparable vocational training with an energy-economics, economic or analytical focus.
  • Initial experience in the energy industry is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of market communications (e.g., GPKE, GeLi Gas or MaBiS) is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Structured, autonomous and solution-oriented work style.
  • Interest in understanding and advancing complex energy market processes.
  • Strong affinity for data, processes and operational workflows.
  • Proficient in German and English; enjoys working with diverse stakeholders.
