About the role

Staff IC role focused on crafting a cohesive, scalable design system for Render’s multi-service cloud platform. You will mentor, shape design direction, and own high-impact UX for developer-focused infrastructure, including observability, deployment workflows, and first-run experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Make a multi-service system legible at a glance.
  • Design system-level observability.
  • Design deployment as a coordinated act.
  • Design and consider all product states.
  • Own a first-run experience worth recommending.
  • Contribute to where the platform goes next.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional taste and craft.
  • Strong information architecture.
  • Design the whole journey, not a screen at a time.
  • Fluent in developer language.
  • Respect for failure states.
  • Systems fluency.
  • Strong product judgment under fast launch velocity.
  • Clear, direct communication and collaborative work style.
