About the role

Senior software engineer focusing on containerized microservices for a distributed multi-tenant cloud security platform, primarily using Go, Kubernetes, and data pipelines to deliver real-time insights and security recommendations across multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop containerized (micro) services for a distributed multi-tenant system processing data and real-time events and network telemetry from multiple public clouds to provide real-time insights, visibility, and security recommendations to customers to identify and minimize risk in the cloud.
  • Design your service, work out all details, defend the design/architecture before peers, and deliver a rock-solid implementation.
  • Mentor junior engineers, new grads, and interns to help them grow as engineers.
  • Primarily write code in Go and work with data pipelines using SQL or other interfaces; leverage Kubernetes for service infrastructure; openness to other languages/tech stacks with willingness to learn.
  • Own critical features and subsystems and the entire software development lifecycle from requirements clarification to deployment and customer usage.
  • Own operational aspects of the system to better understand and write more maintainable software.
  • Maintain code quality through early testing and integration testing to build robust products.
  • Partner with Product Management to review and refine requirements to exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop deep understanding of customer problems through stakeholder interactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent degree (Master’s preferred).
  • 4+ years building distributed & scalable software and systems.
