About the role

Engineering Manager to lead RC Capital, a zero-to-one fintech-driven team focused on Early Payouts and associated financial infrastructure (underwriting, risk monitoring, money movement, bank integrations, fraud detection). Hybrid/remote, globally distributed across US/Europe time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a highly engaged distributed team by hiring, supporting, coaching the team to deliver consistently and continuously seek ways to make an impact.
  • Work cross functionally primarily with product, design and support teams to set direction for the team, anticipate strategic and scaling related challenges through thoughtful long term planning
  • Work with your team on the iterative execution of the roadmap and build efficient & transparent processes for consistent and predictable delivery.
  • Coach and mentor engineers on the team to further their professional development.
  • Work with other engineering managers to continuously improve our organization & create a strong sense of ownership, belonging and inclusivity.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams
  • Experience working cross functionally to build prioritized roadmaps for your teams
  • Ability to balance shipping new features, managing tech debt and investing in system improvements
  • Hands-on with code reviews and bug investigation when needed
  • Comfort writing SQL queries to analyze data and find inconsistencies
  • Experience ensuring teams deliver value and quality software through iterative development cycles
  • Experience ensuring products meet requirements, customer needs, and SLAs
  • Technical leadership experience guiding engineers in technical decisions
  • Experience coaching engineers at different levels and supporting career development
  • Customer-obsessed mindset focusing on outcomes and experiences
