About the role

Product engineer role focusing on the Render KV (Key/Value) product, owning end-to-end full-stack initiatives, operating the KV fleet, and collaborating across design, product, and engineering to scale and evolve the KV platform at Render.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the Render KV fleet.
  • Collaborate closely with design, product, other engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Help evolve and mature the Render KV product as it scales and increases in complexity over time.
  • Participate in team planning, roadmapping, and goal-setting.
  • Help shape team culture and practices as the company scales.
  • Help evolve the KV product with new capabilities.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities with the rest of your team.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional experience shipping software.
  • Bonus points if you’ve excelled at a small, high-growth startup.
  • Experience collaborating with product and design stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to make pragmatic decisions about your work.
  • Comfort with working in a distributed system.
  • Experience operating a KV datastore at scale.
  • Familiarity with modern tooling for software build and deploy processes.
