About the role

Brand Design Specialist responsible for supporting the design and production of creative assets, maintaining Illumio’s brand system, and contributing to marketing initiatives across campaigns, web, social, and internal assets. Situated in Sunnyvale, CA with on-site work and a focus on early-career growth within Illumio’s Creative team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and production of creative assets across campaigns, digital, web, and social
  • Help maintain and apply Illumio’s brand system across various touchpoints
  • Contribute to presentations, marketing materials, and internal assets
  • Work in Figma to support web and product-related design needs
  • Assist with layout, image creation, iconography, and production tasks
  • Collaborate closely with designers, writers, and cross-functional partners
  • Incorporate feedback and iterate quickly to improve output and craft
  • Mentorship and hands-on guidance from an experienced creative team
  • Exposure to end-to-end creative processes across campaigns and brand initiatives
  • Opportunities to build a strong, diverse portfolio of real-world work

  • Learning a new platform and understanding the limitations within our brand guidelines

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience (internship, freelance, or full-time) in design or a related field
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Working knowledge of Figma and modern design workflows
  • Strong fundamentals in typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
  • A portfolio that demonstrates creative thinking and attention to detail
  • A willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow in a team environment
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
