About the role

Founding engineer role at Bloomy, an AI-native learning platform for K-12. Join a solo founder to build and scale an AI-driven education product, including agent infrastructure, frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Supabase) work, with significant equity and early-stage impact.

Responsibilities

  • Ship features and fixes to production and iterate with real classroom feedback.
  • Own and ship fleets of AI agents, write specs, build harnesses, and set QA gates.
  • Develop and maintain the React/TypeScript app and Supabase backend; manage content pipeline and agent fleets feeding it.
  • Design and implement roadmap for product across the stack; interact with teachers, students, and districts to inform direction.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years shipping products that end users touch daily
  • High-agency: able to turn ambiguous feedback into shipped product without waiting for a spec
  • Expert-level with AI coding tools and use them to move faster without outsourcing judgment
  • Comfort with managing a dozen concurrent agents
  • Willingness to engage with real users (including students) for feedback
  • Experience with roster CSV imports, school-device performance quirks, and school-specific customization
  • Measurable learning outcomes focus (not just engagement)
