About the role

Role owning the developer experience of the platform, including SDKs, docs, examples, and fixing customer integration issues.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to SDKs and CLIs across programming languages; build tooling that scaffolds and generates clients.
  • Write documentation, quickstarts, tutorials, and reference guides to enable real-time sessions quickly; maintain accuracy by using them.
  • Build example apps and reference integrations demonstrating platform capabilities.
  • Debug customer integrations end-to-end (client, network, session, inference); improve errors, docs, or SDKs based on failures.
  • Define and instrument developer experience metrics; utilize data to guide development prioritization.
  • Provide feedback from integrations to platform/API design; push for underlying fixes rather than workaround in docs.
  • Monitor where developers get stuck across support channels and community forums; not just formal bug reports.
  • Transform recurring support patterns into SDK/docs fixes rather than FAQs.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years as a software engineer with ability to chase bugs across browser, backend, and more.
  • Ability to build working demos against our SDKs quickly; review customer integration PRs.
  • Strong technical writing; able to produce docs, tutorials, and reference content.
  • Genuine interest in working directly with developers; able to engage in support threads and teach.
  • Sharp eye for API/SDK design; judgment to differentiate root causes from workarounds.
  • Belief that good SDKs and good docs are the same problem.
  • Comfort with an early-stage role where scope isn't fully defined.
