About the role

Role focused on end-to-end data sourcing, collection, and data governance to enable high-fidelity simulations of human behavior. Owns data entering and flowing through Simile from third-party datasets and first-party collection, with emphasis on data quality, compliance, and scalable data operations.

Responsibilities

  • Expanding our coverage of the world: deciding which populations to simulate next and acquiring the data needed.
  • Running Simile’s data machine: managing the data collection supply chain, including panel and field vendor management, incentives, throughput, and cost per participant.
  • Finding the richest datasets to improve our simulation: structuring data usage agreements for training, fine-tuning, and derivative agent behavior.
  • Building our always-on feedback loop: turning research needs into concrete sourcing and supply chain roadmaps and tracking data impact on models.
  • Defending data fidelity: setting sample composition, preventing fraud, and ensuring data quality before it reaches models.
  • Trust and compliance: collaborating with legal to ensure consent, privacy, and usage rights meet enterprise and government partner scrutiny.

Qualifications

  • You are excited about enhancing Simile’s data supply chain.
  • You are interested in building scalable processes.
  • You have intuition for what makes an interesting dataset.
  • You have negotiating experience or aptitude.
  • You are comfortable looking at and thinking about data (biases, sample selection, data schema, collection strategies, quality definitions).
