About the role

Staff Product Manager responsible for strategy, roadmap, and AI-enabled workflows to automate and scale manufacturability review across geographies, owning the Intelligent DFM Workbench and collaborating with data science, ML engineering, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive a multi-year roadmap for DFM across Xometry, establishing a global workbench to accelerate the quality and speed of the custom parts production lifecycle.
  • Own the Intelligent DFM Workbench—the single structured record of what each order requires to be built correctly, with role-specific views for Staff, Buyers, and Partners.
  • Partner with data science and ML engineering to improve manufacturability models (3D geometry analysis, visual/3D language models) and implement feedback loops to improve accuracy over time.
  • Define and track metrics (DFM handle time, sign-off latency, gap between paper promises and on-record details, RMA rate, regional rework) and use them to prioritize the roadmap.
  • Lead cross-functionally between Engineering, Data Science, UX, Sourcing, Pricing, Order Systems, Quality, and DFM engineers/case managers, and present strategy and ROI to executive leadership.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including leading AI/ML-powered or technical products in a B2B, marketplace, or manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Experience owning a system of record or complex data contract consumed by multiple downstream systems and roles, with human-in-the-loop workflows
  • Experience designing policy-driven workflows (approval routing, tiered sign-off, escalation logic) rather than single-user tools
  • Comfort operating across regions and stakeholder groups to maintain a single global design standard despite regional customizations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to distill complexity for engineers and executives
  • Rigorous, data-driven approach to prioritization, experimentation, and measuring impact on cycle time, quality, and satisfaction
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and DFM principles (CNC, sheet metal, additive, injection molding); comfort with geometry-based feasibility rules
  • Track record partnering with data science/ML teams to ship models into production (computer vision, 3D/geometric analysis, or applied LLM/VLM) and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, Business, or related field; MBA/MS a plus
  • salary_range_description
  • The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $180,000–$207,000 annually + bonus, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
