About the role

Staff Product Manager responsible for strategy, roadmap, and execution of manufacturability review (DFM) across geographies, leveraging AI/ML to automate and scale the DFM workflow within Xometry’s platform.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive a multi-year roadmap for DFM across Xometry, starting with foundational work and scaling to an AI-driven workbench
  • Own the Intelligent DFM Workbench as the single source of truth for order requirements, with role-based views for staff, buyers, and partners
  • Partner with data science and ML engineering to improve manufacturability models (3D geometry analysis, vision/3D language models) and build feedback loops from workbench reviews
  • Define and track key metrics (DFM handle time, sign-off latency, paper-to-execution gap, RMA rate, regional rework) and prioritize the roadmap accordingly
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration between Engineering, Data Science, UX, Sourcing, Pricing, Order Systems, Quality, and DFM staff/case managers, and present strategy and ROI to executives

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience in AI/ML-powered or technical products in B2B, marketplace, or manufacturing/engineering environments
  • Experience owning a system of record or complex data contract used by multiple downstream systems and human-in-the-loop workflows
  • Experience designing policy-driven workflows (approval routing, tiered sign-off, escalation logic) rather than single-user tools
  • Ability to operate across regions and stakeholder groups to maintain a global design standard
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for engineers and executives
  • Rigorous, data-driven prioritization, experimentation, and impact measurement on cycle time, quality, and satisfaction
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and DFM principles (CNC, sheet metal, additive, injection molding); comfort with geometry-based feasibility rules
  • Track record partnering with data science/ML teams to ship models; experience with computer vision, 3D/geometric analysis, or applied LLM/VLM is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field; MBA/MS a plus
