About the role

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver financial analysis and modeling to evaluate the net present value (NPV), total cost of ownership (TCO), return on investment (ROI) of new technology and new data center-related investment opportunities.
  • Lead preparation and review of data center investments spanning multi billion dollars in spend; prepare deliverables, recommendations, and presentations for VP+ level reviews.
  • Drive cost and operational excellence through technical expertise, data analysis, and business partnership to deliver insights and make recommendations to leadership.
  • Manage large, complex initiatives spanning multiple organizations including but not limited to TI business partners, accounting, systems, and engineering teams.
  • Drive performance against key metrics alongside business partners. Implement financial controls and drive performance against key metrics alongside business partners. Guide the development, automation, and consolidation of financial tools to scale the Finance team and enable agility for the business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity , or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 3 years of experience in project management, analysis, or capacity planning.
  • Experience with financial modeling, valuation (DCF), and capital structure analysis.
