About the role
Senior backend engineering role responsible for leading critical backend initiatives for ComfyUI, building scalable distributed systems, data models for explosive growth, and optimizing AI workflow performance.
Responsibilities
- Work with a cross-functional team to quickly ship features, often going from idea to production in days not weeks
- Ship features that directly impact millions of ComfyUI users
- Help shape our technical direction as we grow
- Deploy and maintain secure, maintainable backend systems for ComfyUI and Comfy Cloud
- Sample Projects: Deploy diverse open-source community nodes securely, write algorithms to schedule heterogeneous workflows on GPU nodes optimizing for latency and throughput, build a notification system from scratch in one week
Qualifications
- Strong ownership mindset to ship high-quality features
- Habit of inventing novel solutions to solve hard problems
- Experience building great products with focus on user experience and engineering
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and scaling large systems
- Willingness to learn new technologies and ship quality code
