About the role

Hardware development manager leading cross-functional teams to design, build, and optimize complex hardware systems for material handling solutions within One MHS, driving product development from concept to production and coordinating with operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production including specification, design, prototyping, validation and testing
  • Work with the Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organizations as well as vendors to ensure smooth product launch
  • Developing and reporting performance metrics for the hardware engineering team to peers and executives
  • Recruiting and developing great people; continually raises the bar
  • Managing multiple teams and managers to meet deliverables.
  • Maintaining high level of communications with cross-functional team, and partners
  • Interfacing with engineering managers, product management, and/or program management to drive new product development programs from concept to production

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of manufacturing, process, industrial engineering experience
  • 10+ years of engineering team management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in engineering team management
  • Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering
  • Experience developing and testing mechanical robotics equipment
  • Experience in system-level integration
  • Experience with DFx (cost, test, manufacturing)
