About the role

Senior SDE focused on backend services for AWS Marketplace Buyer Fulfillment, owning design, implementation, deployment, and mentorship within a distributed system powering post-procurement experiences for Marketplace customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
  • Design and build technologies in a large distributed computing environment and drive fundamental changes in the industry.
  • Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to scalable, high-speed technologies.
  • Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
  • Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
  • Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
  • Mentor junior team members to improve skills and elevate software development practices.
  • Own quality and deployment for your code and contribute to product and technical direction.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
