About the role

Strategic Projects Lead role in Deeptune, Mercor's RL environments lab, responsible for owning and scaling data operations powering frontier AI training. End-to-end delivery, building and leading distributed teams, cross-functional collaboration, and driving continuous improvements in data pipelines and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery end-to-end: accountable for data delivery including deadlines, throughput, and quality
  • Solve ambiguous problems: build scalable solutions for broken or inefficient processes
  • Build and lead contributor teams: recruit, train, and manage a distributed workforce
  • Partner cross-functionally: work with engineers to scope technical requirements, flag blockers, and ship improvements to pipeline infrastructure
  • Drive continuous improvement: identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and quality gaps and implement solutions to scale across the org

Qualifications

  • 2+ Years of experience in consulting, finance, startups, or other operationally intense environments
  • Strong analytical and communication abilities; proven track record of managing complex projects
  • Customer-Facing Experience: comfortable working directly with high-profile clients
  • Mindset: excited by gritty process optimization and large-scale execution
