About the role

Director-level BD role to build out the Financial Institutions vertical for the Monad Foundation, balancing zero-to-traction initiatives with operational communications for institutional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a structured pipeline of target financial institutions — banks, exchanges, clearing houses, asset managers, and market infrastructure providers — tracking engagement stages: awareness, evaluation, pilot, and committed.
  • Develop deep, trust-based relationships with senior decision-makers at major financial institutions focused on blockchain strategy, digital assets, and infrastructure decisions.
  • Cultivate internal champions within target institutions to build coalitions and drive durable progress.
  • Develop and execute an advisor and influencer strategy, engaging consulting firms, advisors, and intermediaries shaping institutional chain selection.
  • Maintain a real-time view of institutions evaluating competing chains and Drivers of those evaluations; articulate why Monad fits specific institutional use cases.
  • Represent Monad in forums, working groups, and industry bodies where institutional blockchain strategy is formed.
  • Develop and maintain Monad’s institutional narrative as a compelling, technically credible articulation of why Monad is the right infra partner for financial institutions building on-chain.
  • Own the operational cadence of institutional communications, drafting ecosystem updates, preparing materials for calls/meetings, and maintaining outreach rhythm with stakeholders.
  • Monitor sentiment across institutional channels and surface insights with context and recommended responses.
  • Support development and refinement of Monad’s institutional narrative for clear differentiation.
  • Manage logistics and follow-through of institutional relationships to prevent gaps.

Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of experience in one or more: financial institution partnerships, institutional BD, management consulting with a financial services focus, or a crypto infrastructure company with institutional pipelines.
