About the role

Senior software engineer role focused on owning and delivering user-facing features across the Peregrine platform, including Search, Dossier, Charts, Dashboards, Maps, Network, Table, Workspace, Docs, Automations, and Mobile. Emphasis on AI-enabled, fast, trustworthy experiences with high performance, collaboration with design/PM, and ownership of major features.

Responsibilities

  • Own large portions of the user-facing platform from start to finish
  • Ship experiences that are fast, intuitive, and trustworthy
  • Collaborate with design and product management to ship features across the Peregrine platform
  • Take full responsibility for major features and drive them to completion
  • Collaborate with deployment team and users during iteration
  • Address latency, interaction design, and resilience in complex workflows
  • Work across features including Search, Dossier, Charts, Dashboards, Maps, Network, Table, Workspace, Docs, Automations, and Mobile
  • Design AI-powered capabilities with source transparency and trust
  • Deliver production-ready, well-tested software
  • Contribute to the evolution of the frontend/backend stack and infrastructure

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience with cross-functional software development teams
  • Experience shipping production-grade, user-facing software (professional or open-source)
  • Strong frontend fundamentals (React/TypeScript) and full-stack capability
  • Ability to write robust, well-tested, well-designed code frequently deployed to users
  • Solid understanding of architecting and scaling distributed systems
  • Excellent best practices in modern software development and ability to navigate large codebases
  • Located in San Francisco or Washington, D.C. and able to work in-office 4 days a week
