Staff Product Designer role at Peregrine to set design direction for data-enabled public safety platform, conducting research, shaping roadmap, and delivering end-to-end experiences across a data platform.

Responsibilities

  • - Lead ambitious design initiatives from problem definition through launch to deliver polished products that delight users
  • - Influence across Design, Engineering and Business Development to define scope and prioritization for high-quality outcomes
  • - Lead and elevate design critiques with Design and Leadership teams
  • - Partner with leadership to define product strategy and craft a compelling narrative to inspire the team
  • - Mentor other designers, shaping design systems, asset library, and working practices to grow the Design discipline

Qualifications

  • - 10+ years of experience leading the design of complex software products focused on user experience
  • - Exceptional interaction design, visual design and design thinking with strong communication of thought process
  • - Ability to distill complex problems into intuitive workflows while maintaining quality
  • - Ability to thrive in fast-moving/unstructured environments and create structure
  • - Experience mentoring designers and influencing beyond immediate team
  • - Familiarity with Figma, Sketch and Origami
  • - Curiosity and willingness to learn and grow in a team of high-performing builders
  • - Strong portfolio showing craft and leadership in shipping products
  • - Located in the San Francisco or New York area and open to working in office
