About the role

Product Engineer role at Casco to shape customer experience across the full lifecycle, with strong frontend focus (TypeScript/React) and hands-on product decisions, collaborating with customers, founders, security experts, and engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Own customer journeys end to end: map and improve the experience from contract signature through onboarding, activation, ongoing use, and renewal.
  • Design across surfaces: create coherent experiences spanning email, Slack or Teams, customer channels, setup flows, notifications, and the Casco console.
  • Turn customer needs into product decisions: talk with customers, identify the real problem behind a request, and decide what should be built.
  • Build polished frontend experiences: translate ideas into intuitive, accessible, responsive interfaces and ship them to production.
  • Make notification decisions thoughtfully: determine what customers need to know, when, which channel, and what action should follow.
  • Simplify complex security workflows: make findings, testing progress, setup requirements, and next steps understandable without hiding important detail.
  • Prototype and iterate quickly: use sketches, working prototypes, and production code to test ideas and learn from real usage.
  • Raise the product quality bar: improve interaction patterns, information architecture, copy, states, and shared components.
  • Measure the experience: define success signals, instrument key journeys, and use qualitative and quantitative feedback to improve them.

Qualifications

  • Strong product sense: identify important customer problems, make good tradeoffs, and explain why a solution should work.
  • UX experience: understand user flows, information architecture, interaction design, content, accessibility, and intuitive product feel.
  • Frontend depth: substantial experience building and shipping modern web applications with TypeScript and React.
  • End-to-end thinking: connect touchpoints across the customer lifecycle.
  • Customer empathy: design for security teams, engineers, and business stakeholders with different needs.
  • Ownership: move from loosely defined opportunities to shipped, measured products.
  • Clear communication: document thinking through writing, prototypes, and discussions with technical and non-technical teammates.
  • High craft bar: attention to loading, empty/error/permission/edge-case states.
  • Startup readiness: comfortable with ambiguity, fast feedback, and changing mind when evidence changes.
