About the role

Content Editor role focused on building repeatable templates and systems to produce Roame's time-sensitive, informative video content at scale, with potential to grow into a full-time, audience-driven position.

Responsibilities

  • Build the templates. Define repeatable formats for recurring content: deal breakdowns, route explainers, product walkthroughs, founder/creator talking-head pieces, UGC-style ads. Each format gets a documented structure — hook patterns, pacing, caption style, motion system, asset library, project template.
  • Run the AI layer. Use generative tools for b‑roll and stock replacement, generated visuals, voice cleanup and synthesis, auto-transcription and subtitling, silence removal, rough cuts from transcript, variant generation for ad testing.
  • Stitch in the human parts. Coach and capture the human-recorded pieces — talking head, VO, screen recordings, phone footage — and blend them with generated material so the seams don't show.
  • Shoot on location. Travel to hotels, lounges, cabins, cities to shoot; you may be on camera; travel and hotels are covered.
  • Produce the volume. Ship short-form for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, plus longer YouTube pieces and paid social creative; multiple pieces per week.
  • Close the loop. Monitor retention curves and ad performance; iterate templates based on data.
  • Keep the system usable by others. Document workflows, maintain asset/preset library, ensure handoff practicality.

Qualifications

  • You're fast, and you ship. Same-day turnarounds are normal; you know when something is good enough to publish.
  • You build systems, not just files. You work with templates, presets, naming conventions, reusable components.
  • Real editing chops. Proficiency in Premiere / Final Cut / DaVinci / CapCut; motion/animation ability is a plus.
  • Fluent with AI video tooling. Experience with AI video workflows (generated visuals, AI voice, auto-captioning, transcripts, upscaling, etc.).
  • Taste for short-form. Ability to assess hooks, pacing, retention, and native-feel content vs ads.
  • Real shooting sense. Good framing, lighting, audio; travel light and produce usable footage.
  • Growth instinct. Understanding of how content can spread and potentially grow an account.
  • Comfortable on camera or willing to get there quickly.
  • Ownership. Ability to own format decisions, ship, and report on results in a small, fast-moving team.
