About the role

Head of Manufacturing Excellence responsible for developing and standardizing manufacturing systems, owning key processes, managing change across multiple sites, and ensuring governance and continuous improvement within Ajax Systems’ manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Architect the Manufacturing System with end-to-end governance and support
  • Develop, agree, release and regularly review manufacturing standards and regulations (e.g., working stations, Gemba Management, Asaichi, Layered Process Audit, Leader Standard Work, Daily Management System)
  • Manage version control, communication and rollout of processes and procedures (Process & Procedure)
  • Conduct audits of standard usage, manage deviations and assess effectiveness
  • Own key operational processes: Daily Management, Shift Handover, Escalation Process, Production Meeting, Problem Solving, Visual Management, Change Management, Continuous Improvement
  • Train and adapt employees to new and updated processes
  • Full Change Management lifecycle for Manufacturing System: intake and impact assessment, change approval and pilot testing, rollout across all sites, updating standards
  • Plant governance: delineate responsibilities, ensure corporate standards and local adherence, collect and process improvement suggestions from plants

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years experience in Operational Excellence / Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement / Manufacturing Engineering in leadership or expert roles
  • Deep understanding of modern manufacturing system tools and standards (Daily Management, Gemba, Asaichi, LPA, Leader Standard Work, Root Cause Analysis / Problem Solving)
  • Practical Change Management experience coordinating changes across multiple production sites (pilot to full rollout)
  • Process development skills: architecture of processes, clear regulatory documentation (SOP, Process & Procedure) and auditing systems
  • Leadership and communication: ability to work cross-functionally with Plant Directors, train and facilitate change implementation
