About the role

Octopus Energy UK is hiring a Venue Sales Representative to join their field sales team. The role focuses on face-to-face engagement at venues to promote energy tariffs and low-carbon technologies, delivering excellent customer service and helping customers switch to Octopus Energy.

Responsibilities

  • Directly engage with customers on a face-to-face basis to promote energy tariffs and low carbon technologies (e.g., solar panels, heat pumps, electric vehicles).
  • Introduce Octopus Energy as a preferred supplier by comparing services and products with other energy companies to help customers make informed choices about switching for their home energy supply.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming, positive experience for every new customer you bring on board.

Qualifications

  • Sales experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn and develop sales skills.
  • Confident in own communication style, good listeners, and able to connect with others.
  • Positive, approachable and confident communication.
  • Experience in a customer-centric setting with quick, effective customer solutions.
  • Willingness to approach customers and maximize every interaction.
  • Enjoy helping people and delivering joy by making processes easy.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate in completing tasks.
  • Driving license to travel to venues across locations
