About the role

Staff Product Designer to own Agent Experience (AX) end to end, designing the programmatic surface and the loop where agents operate Render across CLI, API, MCP, SDKs, Blueprints, Skills, and web UI. Focus on interfaces for agents, human↔agent handoff, and trust, safety, and governance; design for both developer-facing and agent-facing experiences across multiple surfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Design the full programmatic interface, not just the CLI, across CLI, API, MCP, SDKs, Blueprints, and Skills; own interaction model and error language across surfaces.
  • Design documentation as an agent-facing product, including Blueprints, Skills, and reference material; treat docs-as-experience as a first-class surface.
  • Close the human-operated gap in onboarding by enabling a configuration-first path where the system is described in code (Blueprints) and deployed in one motion.
  • Design dashboard surfaces to reveal agent work to humans, including review, supervision, and activity surfaces with the same rigor as flagship flows.
  • Design agent auth and access with least-privilege concepts, token management, and auditability.
  • Define a single model for core objects (applications, services, environments) and ensure consistency across dashboard, CLI, API, SDK, MCP, and Blueprint.
  • Surface programmatic paths at moments of developer intent (copy-a-prompt CTAs, post-signup CLI install, post-error tooling) where they are most discoverable.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product design experience, ideally on developer tools, infrastructure, APIs, or other technical, credibility-driven products.
  • Strong portfolio showing end-to-end design across GUI and non-GUI surfaces (CLI messages, API ergonomics, MCP/SDK design, docs-as-experience, or conversational interfaces).
  • Ability to design across interface boundaries (CLI to API to SDK to dashboard) with a cohesive model.
  • Genuine point of view on AI-native product design for agents in addition to humans.
  • Comfort reading and prototyping with code; collaboration with engineers without a translation layer.
  • Clear, direct communication and cross-org influence.
