About the role

On-site lead for installation, startup, and commissioning of Armada’s Leviathan data center in Norway, coordinating between the customer GC, subcontractors, Armada trades, and the Commissioning Authority to achieve Ready for Service (RFS).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Armada's primary on-site point of contact, coordinating daily activities across the customer's GC, GC-managed subcontractors, and Armada's own subcontracted trades.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce integrated site logistics plans, look-ahead schedules, and work sequencing across multiple concurrent trade crews.
  • Chair or participate in daily and weekly coordination meetings to align GC, subcontractor, and commissioning schedules.
  • Identify and resolve field conflicts before they impact schedule.
  • Track and drive closure of punch lists, RFIs, and deficiency logs tied to startup readiness.
  • Maintain daily site reports, photo documentation, and progress logs for internal and customer stakeholders.
  • Serve as field liaison to the Commissioning Authority (CxA) ensuring construction completion aligns with the Level 1–5 commissioning sequence.
  • Coordinate system turnover packages, startup sequencing, and system-by-system readiness with trades.
  • Support and track pre-functional checklists, functional performance testing (FPT), and integrated systems testing (IST).
  • Escalate and manage resolution of commissioning-driven punch items and remobilization of trades.
  • Partner with CxA, engineers of record, and OEM startup technicians to sequence energization, startup, and testing safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain visibility into the master commissioning schedule and flag risks to the RFS date.
  • Enforce site safety programs and ensure work is executed per drawings and quality standards.
  • Support permitting, inspection, and AHJ coordination to support energization and occupancy.
  • Act as a trusted technical and field voice across stakeholders and provide progress updates and risk assessments.
  • Support change management with proper approval routing.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of construction site management experience, including 3+ years in mission-critical, data center, or industrial startup/commissioning environments.
  • Proven track record coordinating multi-trade, multi-stakeholder job sites through substantial completion, startup, and commissioning to occupancy or RFS.
  • Working knowledge of data center MEP systems (electrical distribution/switchgear, UPS, generators, cooling plants/CRAH-CRAC, BMS/EPMS controls).
  • Familiarity with commissioning process frameworks (ASHRAE Guideline 0/1.1, Level 1–5) and translating requirements into field plans.
  • Strong scheduling acumen (Primavera P6, MS Project) and experience managing look-ahead schedules.
  • Ability to manage relationships with GCs, subcontractors, and third-party commissioning agents.
  • OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain); strong site safety leadership background.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to customer and executive stakeholders.
