About the role

Software Engineering Manager leading a software development team within the Networking Devices Management Tools group, delivering cross-platform (Linux/Windows) C++ and Python management tools for NVIDIA networking devices, with a focus on design leadership, execution, and collaboration across functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing software development team, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, feedback, and career development.
  • Own the team’s priorities and execution within the group roadmap, driving projects from system architecture and requirements through detailed software design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Provide technical and design leadership for high-performance C++ and Python management tools that interact with NVIDIA networking devices across Linux and Windows.
  • Drive engineering excellence through design and code reviews, automation, testing, release practices, quality standards, and AI-assisted development tools adoption.
  • Collaborate with group leadership, peer teams, hardware, firmware, QA, product, and program-management to manage dependencies, resolve risks, and deliver cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of hands-on software development experience with C++, Python, object-oriented design, Linux, Git, debugging, and modern development practices.
  • 3+ years of software engineering management experience, including people development, performance management, and project delivery.
  • Proven ability to translate system architecture and ambiguous requirements into detailed software designs and actionable execution plans while managing priorities, risks, dependencies, and delivery.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with proactive, collaborative approach and ability to influence stakeholders across teams and levels.
